Privacy Policy for iDryer Mobile App

This Privacy Policy applies to the iDryer mobile application for iPhone and Android distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

By using the iDryer app, you agree to the data practices described in this Policy.

1. Who we are

iDryer Mobile App is an application for controlling iDryer dryers, using the iDryer cloud portal, working in local LAN mode, receiving notifications, and using profiles, presets, sessions, and related iDryer project services.

2. What data we may process

Depending on how you use the app, we may process the following categories of data:

  • account data, such as email address, name, username, and profile data;
  • avatar and profile image data if you choose to upload a photo;
  • authentication tokens, session identifiers, and sign-in related technical data;
  • push token data and related technical information required to deliver notifications;
  • iDryer device and portal data, including device identifiers, device names, statuses, telemetry, profiles, presets, session history, notifications, and related records;
  • local network data required to discover devices and connect to them in LAN mode;
  • data stored locally on your device, including app settings, cache, and selected service tokens;
  • technical app and device data required to operate the service, protect accounts, diagnose connection issues, and maintain compatibility.

3. What permissions the app uses

The app may request the following permissions:

  • photo library access so you can choose a profile avatar;
  • notification permission for push notifications;
  • local network and multicast/Wi-Fi related access so the app can discover and connect to iDryer devices on your local network;
  • internet access for the cloud portal, documentation, forum, and related services.

The app does not request access to location, contacts, microphone, or camera unless a future feature explicitly requires it.

4. How we use data

We use data for the following purposes:

  • account registration, sign-in, and profile management;
  • connecting to iDryer dryers through the cloud and through LAN mode;
  • displaying device state, telemetry, history, and notifications;
  • synchronizing profiles, presets, catalog data, and other user-related content;
  • delivering push notifications and alerts;
  • uploading and displaying a user avatar;
  • maintaining app security, diagnostics, stability, and compatibility;
  • supporting deep links, documentation, forum access, and related project services.

Depending on the context, we process data:

  • to provide the service you request when using the app;
  • based on your consent when you voluntarily grant access, for example to photos or notifications;
  • based on our legitimate interest in maintaining service security, stability, abuse prevention, and operational support;
  • to comply with applicable legal obligations.

6. Where and how data is stored

Some data is stored locally on your device, including app settings, cache, and selected tokens required for app functionality.

Some data is stored and processed in iDryer cloud services and related project infrastructure when needed to support accounts, portal features, device synchronization, history, presets, profiles, and notifications.

7. Who data may be shared with

We may share data only as necessary to operate the app with the following categories of recipients:

  • iDryer services and server infrastructure;
  • push delivery providers, including Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging;
  • hosting and infrastructure providers that help us operate the portal, API, notifications, and related features;
  • public authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect our rights, users, or the service.

We do not sell users' personal data.

As of the last updated date, the iDryer mobile app does not use mobile advertising SDKs and does not include third-party mobile analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

8. External websites and services

The app may open external iDryer resources and related pages, including the portal, documentation, forum, and community platforms. Those sites and services may operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

9. Data retention

We keep data only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the app and its features;
  • support your account and connected devices;
  • maintain security and prevent abuse;
  • comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, the service involved, and applicable legal requirements.

10. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

11. Your rights

Depending on your country and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your data;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of data or your account;
  • withdraw consent you previously provided;
  • restrict certain processing activities;
  • lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

You can also manage app permissions through your device settings, including notifications and photo access.

12. Account and data deletion

If you want to delete your account or request deletion of related data, use the iDryer profile page:

On the profile page, use the Delete account button to start deletion of your account and related data within the available service functionality.

Deleting local app data or removing the app from your device may remove some local information, but it does not always delete data already stored in iDryer cloud services.

13. Children

The app is not specifically directed to children and should not be used by children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided data without appropriate consent, please contact iDryer through official channels.

14. International data transfers

Because project infrastructure and third-party services may operate in different countries, your data may be processed outside your country. When this happens, we take reasonable measures to protect data in accordance with applicable law.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be published at the official Privacy Policy URL for iDryer Mobile App. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
