iDryer Ecosystem¶
About the Project¶
iDryer is an open ecosystem for filament drying and improving 3D printing quality. The project includes hardware, firmware, cloud portal, and mobile application, created for 3D printing enthusiasts and evolving through their ideas, discussions, and needs.
All documentation, source code, and schematics are openly available. You can build your own device, modify the firmware, integrate it with your system, share experience, and contribute to the project's development.
Main Products¶
iDryer¶
A device for filament storage and drying with precise humidity and temperature control. Supports all major plastic types — from PLA and PETG to high-temperature materials (ABS, Nylon, polycarbonate, and others). Drying temperature is fully adjustable depending on your filament type and goals — from gentle modes up to 110°C and beyond. The design is modular: you build the device to fit your needs and budget, from a simple desktop dryer to an integrated management system for an entire fleet of printers.
- Assembly: detailed instructions, parts list, schematics
- Firmware: source code, customization for your device
- Integrations: Klipper, Home Assistant, custom solutions
iHeater¶
A modular heating system for 3D printer chambers. Provides stable temperature for high-temperature materials (Nylon, PEEK, polycarbonate, and others). Integrates with Bambu Lab, Klipper, and other platforms. Managed through iDryer Portal — monitor temperature in real time, receive alerts, configure profiles for each material.
iDryer Storage¶
Filament storage management system. Allows you to keep inventory in perfect order without needing to remember shelf addresses — just place the spool in its location, the system will show you where. The portal stores location, status, opening date and usage history, and actual weight.
iDryer Portal & App¶
A unified platform for monitoring and managing all devices in the ecosystem. Key features:
- Filament knowledge base: integrated with the community forum — material reviews, user experience, recommendations in one place
- Presets: share drying and printing profiles for each filament, see what works best
- Drying dynamics: monitor moisture loss in real time, track correlation between drying parameters and print quality
- Device verification: each dryer receives a unique identifier, ensuring compliance with parameters and build quality
- Results sharing: publish results of your drying sessions along with print results — an objective picture of what really works
The portal and mobile app work with a single database and synchronize in real time.
